Frequently asked questions?

Lessons and Scheduling

How much do drum lessons cost? Prices vary by lesson length and package deals.
How long is each lesson? Standard private weekly lessons usually last 30, 60, or 120 minutes.
Which lesson plan is best for me? This depends on skill level, age, and how fast you want to progress. Beginners usually start with 30-minute lessons.
What are your monthly rates?
Our rates, which include four lessons:
30-minute: $115
60-minute: $200

Do you offer trial lessons? We offer a free, twenty-minute, in-person consultation.
What is your cancellation policy? We require 24 hours’ notice to reschedule a missed class.

Equipment and Gear

Do I need to bring drumsticks? We provide sticks for your very first lesson, and then we discuss which drumsticks to purchase.
Should I buy an acoustic or electronic kit? Electronic kits are quieter and better for apartments, while acoustic kits offer a traditional feel.

Students and Experience

Am I too old to learn? You can start playing drums at any age.
What is the best age for a child to start? We recommend starting around age 8 to 9, once the child can comfortably reach the pedals.
Do I need to know how to read music? No, reading sheet music is helpful but not mandatory; we start by playing by ear or learning grooves.
Do you teach online or in-person? Currently, no, but as the school grows, we plan to offer online instruction.
Do you offer group classes? We offer one-on-one private instruction. We are currently developing a recital program. We want to see students playing music together from other music programs.

Four Key benefits of having a drum coach

Corrects Technique: Fixes your grip, posture, and foot placement right away so you do not get hurt or develop hard-to-break bad habits.
Saves Time: Gives you exact exercises and answers questions instantly, cutting down hours of confusing trial and error.
Customizes Goals: Builds a clear, step-by-step practice plan tailored to your skill level and musical taste.
Keeps You Accountable: Tracks your weekly progress, keeps you motivated, and pushes you past frustrating plateaus.

Never touched a drumstick? No problem. We start from the ground up — grip, posture, basic rhythms, and building real confidence behind the kit. Our monthly beginner plans start at $115.00 and include four thirty-minute lessons.

Intermediate: 60 minute

You know the basics — now let's push further. Develop your groove, expand your vocabulary, and start playing music that moves people. Our monthly intermediate plans start at $200.00 and include four sixty-minute lessons.
